I have been MIA, and I have been busy! This morning, I got to deliver a set of chairs I have been working on for a customer. I really hope she likes and enjoys them...I can't wait to do a set for yself :)
She and her husband decided they wanted a "his" and "hers" chair. So they picked out the fabric and I went to town...Here they were before.
Here is "Her" chair after...
And "His" chair after...
They are going to look AMAZING! in Her home!

A Manly Modern Console
I have been super busy lately...sorry for being gone for so long. This piece was a request from a client, a modern piece for her brother as a house warming gift.
I started my hunt for a modern mid century piece of furniture that could be used as an entertainment console...
I found this at my local Salvation Army.
Looks a bit too much like a dresser...easy peasy fix!
Just sut out the bottom 4 drawers and cased it in with some backer board, and molding...
caulked all the edges...
and here you have the inside before the paint...
and after the paint...a rich espresso brown coats this manly little piece...
I'm very pleased with how it turned out...I'm sure it will look great in his bachelor pad also :)

A Reinvented Pantry
Alright, alright,no more taste tests...shes done! and shes awesome!
Cute right?!
So I had a sale Memorial weekend right....and I met a gal named April...cute little thing :) Her daughter fell in love with the jewelry box I revamped here So she got to take it home :)
While talking to her she told me she needed something for storage in her kitchen, like a pantry, but the catch was it couldn't be too big...I told her I would see what I could do, and get back to her.
I found this gun cabinet at a yard sale a week later and snatched it up...hense the hint here
I took it home and started taking it apart. and got rid of that horrible glass...(poor little deer)and replaced it with some backer board and chalkboard paint!
Added a bit of beadboard to the sides, and a sheet of plywood to the back to sturdy it up a bit(worked like a charm)
Then gave her a fresh coat of Martha Stewarts' "Bay Leaf" My idea of Green Apple! (Aprils Request)
On the inside I decide to add some adjustable shelves. We found a super cool tool at Home Depot that made this part super easy.
(see the little stopper on the bit...Aaaaawwwsome! it allowed us to drill only as deep as we needed.
Then I got some of those little tabs to go into the holes, to hold up the shelves. and cut the shelves from bullnosed mdf. and painted them white.
All together, and semi stocked...this little gal is going to be able to hold quite a bit of food!
Took a little road trip and delivered this beauty to April this morning, and needless to say I think she loved it! And it looks great with all of her decor!
SUCCESS!
I'm going to be doing some partying over here!

A little Update!
Sorry I haven't been around for a few days...I can't wait to catch up on things everyone has been up to.
This past weekend I had a little sale. I took about 25 ish pieces with me, and came back with 2...I know right?!
The best part was all the postive feedback I recieved :) I gained a few friends, leads and best of all confidence.
So I don't have any new projects going on at the moment, but I just got the go ahead to start on a custom piece...i don't want to spoil the end result, so I'll give you a teaser :)
I can not wait to get it done. And my client can't either. In the meantime, I'll be back later to post some pics of a desk repurposing I just finished! Hope you all are still hanging in there, and checking out what I've got going on...I love you all so freakin much!

Hand Painted Shabby Table
Here is a little lady I painted while sitting in front of the television, during one of our last bout of freezing weather... Oh and sorry, it was a bit too dark to take before pics...
I just love little tables like this...but sometimes they are super dated...
I think its transformation brought it to date a bit.
I gave her a few coats of my "go to white" Cotton Whisper. Then hand painted a few flowers and swirls, with a light bluish-green
A last peek...a little bright, so the flowers wouldn't show up in the picture... But it still looks pretty (ya think?)
I am going to be linking up to these parties...you should come with me :)

Jewelry Box Makeover
This little thing has been sitting in my garage for I'm not sure how long. Its little so I forgot all about it...
So it deserved a little makeover to make up for the neglect :)
Here it is before...
Blah...but with a little paint and distressing, its ready to go.
Look at the aqua velvet lining the drawers...pretty, huh?
One last peek...
Have a lovely day!

Lil Blue, the Jack of all Dressers
There is no shame in my game!
Gotta love trash day!
I picked this lil guy up on the curb... You should have seen me trying to lift it by myself into the back of my (lifted) truck...ah ha ha funny sight!
He was missing a bunch of drawers, but had great bones.
I decide to keep only the top 3 drawers, so I started (with the help of my hubby) by cutting the bottom apart. Then filled this section in with backerboard.
Here he is all put together, just before his paint job.
I gave him a coat of some freebie light blue paint given to me by a friend. And stained his top a nice Dark Walnut.
Next came the bottom "cabinet" part...trying to decide between which basket I wanted to get, 3 really really expensive ones, or 3 really expensive ones..Joanns was slippin this week...So as I browsed around, I came accross these unfinished crates, for $10 each...AWESOME compared to $25 each for the size baskets I needed...15"x15".
I bought 3 of these crates, and with all of my sah-weet coupons I only paid $18 for all 3! I know right?!
I got them home and they were a bit too long, and stuck out 3 inches...oops,
so we cut off the amount needed, and took my new staple gun, and put em back together!
and stained them the same dark walnut color as the top.
Here he is in all his glory!
I love him! and I can picture him just about anywhere, a baby boys nursery, a big boys room, under a nice sized flat screen, with dvd's filling the crates, in a craft room....Oh the possibilities!
Are you all ready to party....cuz I am! come join me!
