Here is what I started off with {after the little girl who gave her to me} I hit a lazy spot...and left her outside for awhile... during that time we had 2 snow storms and quite a bit of rain...oops, my bad. The good part was that the finish was just flaking of {thank god} which did me a favor, and saved me some work... but the bad part was the veneer was peeling up on the bottoms {not good}
I {scratch that} We fixed the peely veneer by chopping the bottom off and adding some cute littel feet, that were the middle part od a small table I had sitting around...
Heres hubby cutting down the legs to the size we needed.
Here they are being screwed to the dresser.
With a fresh coat of pale gray, shes all ready to be accesorized.
My inspiration for this dresser found at jones design company
I cut a stencil out of cardboard. and traced the stencil over and over until the entire front of the dresser was covered. I drug the drawers into the livingroom, and during American Idol last week, I painted over my pencil ines with a nice crisp white.
I used the same hardware just positioned differently, and spray painted white.
Here she is...Only here is one of the snags that got me...I applied a semi gloss poly and when it dried, it dried with a yellow tint! I was stuck for a few days, trying to decide what to do...Then this morning I just took the sanded to her, roughing her up as much as I could stand. And needless to say, I am quite happy with the end result!
My Oh My shes so good looking!
This week I'm going to be linking up to these parties...wanna join me?

It looks great, Nikki! I've had my share of "setbacks" on projects, too. Sometimes it turns out to be a great thing, like it did here for you! :)
I agree - Good Looking!
Really cute. I used that same stencil on a wall in my house, I love it on furniture! I might have to give it a try myself!
absolutely beautiful. that design is so stricking. saw it on the wall also and was thinking of similar for a dressing table i'm doing at the moment.

This is gorgeous! I love the pattern on the front. I recently did a quatrefoil pattern on the top of my desk (http://31diy.blogspot.com/2011/03/quatrefoil-painted-desk-tutorial.html), so I'm in love with this sort of thing right now. :)
