So they say...
Alrightie last but certainly not least. This perdie lil thang...was waiting patiently while I figured out what the heck I wanted to dress her in.
She started out an ucky brown like the last one...
And with a couple coats of Krylon Satin Black, she starts her new life like this...
I decided to give her wings...
Story behind why is long...but to shorten it, my 16 year old sister is going through some trial and error stuff right now, and 1 1/2 years ago she had a rod inserted in her back due to a severe case of scoliosis...for a while leading up to the surgery and until now, she has been wanting angel wings tattooed onto her back to cover the scars. So one night after thinking of her, I sketched out some wings on the table top
And then took a little trip to the hardware store where I happened to find a paint pen by Krylon...and traced out the wings
then filled them in with simple old craft paint...
I sanded her a bit...to add some signs of distressing, then applied some dark stain I had...with a Q-Tip...(I really didn't want to have stain all over the place that day)
And after putting some stain all over the table top(over the wings) I wiped it off with a damp towel...Turned out just how I wanted.
So here you have it...the Angel that got her Wings! I promise no more Teeny Tables for a while...

Beautimus! When you can produce somthing that great you can do as many tiny tables as you want! I love it!!!! That would be a great gift to your sis.
The table looks awsome! I love the dark color and that you distressed it, the vintage look is great! And I love the idea of the angel wings, how creative!

The table is beautiful!
Oh nice!! I have a table just like yours that I picked up last weekend... I have just been waiting to figure out a way to dress mine as well. I was thinking white but I shall go for black! Thank you!!
What a transformation on this table! Thanks for sharing it with us on Modern Craftswoman Monday! Rory
That is so incredibly sweet of you and it's GORGEOUS! SHe'l love it! I'm almost 6 weeks out from my 4th spinal surgery so my heart completely goes out to your little sister. As an adult with a wonderful husband and 3 great kids I'm okay with my scars but for a teen it must be sooo hard. HUGS to both of you!
Oh I can't decide which table is my favorite, this one or the crown below. You are SO talented.
You have been working it girl! I love it, looks great....don't you just love Krylon. I would love to see you at my party sometime:) Debbiedoos
That is beautiful! And you hand-painted that?? WOW! And what a wonderful story. I hope your sister gets her wish of angel wings on her back. Maybe you should pass this table on to her. . . Many prayers and blessings for her and her situation. HUGS!
