Cute Lil Catch All

Creative and Cute Catch All!

So I have been super busy lately with some big projects...soon to come, and I have been neglecting all of you! Sorry :( Here is a little something I came up with.
A Cute lil Catch all!Started out ucky...not sure what she is, but I'll take care of that...
Nothing a little spray paint wont fix...Then I added some little hooks across the bottom ledge, and the hole in the back is bugging me, so lets fill it in....k?
I grabbed some black felt, thin cardboard(backing from an old frame) and some perdie damask fabric. hot glued them all together like a sandwich, then hot glued to to the back of the piece...I left the felt al tad bit larger, so there would be a nice clean edge.
Now to add a little more detail...how 'bout a nice "word"...Smile is nice! I printed out the wrod and traced it onto contact(shleving)paper, and cut it out, stuck it on, and painted away.

The white craft paint I used was a bit too bright, so I roughed it up a little with some sandpaper, and all the edges...a little distressing never hurt anyone :)
And here we go...
Cute huh...
So I figure you could use this a couple different ways...like to catch all your brushes and hair thingys, I don't use much so it works for me...
But I decided to use it as a catch all by the front door, to catch my keys, favorite adds...important bills...(the less important ones, get tossed on the counter...lol)
Love it...now another place to put my junk...but its so much cuter than a kitchen drawer :)

K so see ya soon with some bigger stuff!
Have a good Day!

I like it. You will smile every time you get your keys or put them away!

Oh neat!! I'll have to look for something like that to put by my front door :)

I love what you did to cover up the hole -- I may have to try that with some stuff I have!!

You have been on a serious roll here...sorry I missed do much...since my boys are out of school, I am on here a little less, so please forgive me for being a slacker friend out here in blog land!~ I love this project, and it is so useful too. Don't forget my party coming up this weekend starting Friday.
