Apothecary Jar - Made by Moi!

With a little inspiration of coarse, I made my own Apothecary Jar. I have been in love with these jars for almost forever! Honestly I never thought I would have one...all the ones I have fallen in love with in the past have been super pricey...And then one day I was enjoying my normal blog surfin when I stumbled upon a post by Made By Stephanie, here she made her own. I got so excited, and right away thought(out loud)"What!? I can make this...your right I can!" So I did. It took me a few days to get my stuff together that I wanted to "put" together... but it all came together, see this is how I did it...

I had the candle holder already, and it seemed way too dark for the bathroom(thats where I had it) and picked up the hurricane at Joanns for 3.00 *smile* the finial was originally this super tall one but I took my hubbys saw to it, now its 1/2 the size...ha ha.

Next I took the pieces outside to get a coat of primer and paint...I'm so disappointed in myself, I missed the shot of the actual paint color (Satin finish Nickel) I let them dry a bit, then used gorilla glue to glue the pieces together, I just read the instructions on the bottle, and viola...

I love it! So I put some glass beads I had laying around in it for know, but I have another plan for stuff to put in it. I wish I could remember where I saw it. I saw this wonderful idea, to hot glue the beads onto foam balls! I know right! Super cool! I just have to go and get some foam balls...and then I will attempt it, oooh I can't wait...Come back and see them!
