Hand Painted Wall Art-Tree Branch

Who needs Vinyl...when you got paint , a brush, and a little bit of time on your hands.

Time is definitely on my side right now...and I never thought I would say..."I'm bored." Last friday I had surgery to repair an umbilical hernia... The whole thing rushed up on me...I knew I would have to get it taken care of, but not so soon.

So I have been off work for 6 days now...and am just barely able to move around without being in the worst aching pain ever... So last night I was browsing through pictures on the internet and stumbled upon these...

They were all very inspiring...but the 2nd picture was the one that worked the best for the space I pictured it in, here...

and since I wanted it done NOW, and didn't really want to spend the money on vinyl decals, or the time on waiting for them to come in the mail, I took out a sharpie and started drawing lines.

When I was happy with the final sketch, I whipped out a paintbrush and got to painting. The problem I was having was deciding on a color...do I go white, to go with the rest of the trim, Do I go a dark brown...so it would resemble a tree more, or do I dare go a lime green...to pick up the accent colors in the room? I decide on the dark brown...I already had some latex paint in the garage, which was suppose to be a nutmeg brown, but after applying it to my pumpkin colored walls, it turned a forrest green color....and whatta ya know I liked even more...

After...

Before...
Now it looks great all by itself, but there is the key word, its all by itself...so I have some frames hanging around...so I would like to do like one of the inspiration pics, and randomly hang pics of the fam! ...But that'll be tomorrow, I'm pooped...

I decided to just put up pics of my boys! just because they rock my lil' world...

See ya later :)
